As an insurance agent, I understand the importance of prompt and thorough water remediation. When I had a water loss at my home, I was quick to call Anthony because I trusted him fully to do a great job with my water leak. Anthony was on site quickly and went to work to help get our home back to normal as quickly as possible. Anthony worked directly with my insurance company so that I didn't have to spend my time on that side of things, even though I am the agent. He also worked with my contractor to coordinate the different pieces of the puzzle to get my home put back together as soon as possible. During the process, I became pretty sick and had to spend several days in bed. During that time, it was extremely reassuring to me to know that Anthony could come in and check things without me having to be up and present in the process. I also have a very curious and nosy cat and Anthony was careful to not let him out as he came in and out of my home and to make sure the area was sealed off well so that my cat could not get into the area where the drying fans were running. As an insurance agent, Anthony is who I recommend to my clients, even prior to using him myself, but having my own water loss solidified my decision that they are the only remediation company that I will recommend after having personally dealt with 2 other companies in my home who did not do the quality job that Anthony did for us. Thank you for helping make a bad situation as convenient and painless as possible!

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have found Willard's Restoration to help us urgently address flooding in our basement following recent heavy rains. I called numerous companies who either could not come to us for some time or were downright rude when I asked for at least a ballpark estimate for such services. Anthony and Cassie returned my calls promptly and offered to come out quickly. They helped me manage the situation with their own services and referrals. They were quite knowledgeable, professional, courteous, reliable. I have not needed this type of service before, but will not hesitate to call on them again and/or refer others to them who might need similar help. Thank you!!

We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Anthony and his team were there for us from the moment we called with our problem to the moment the contractors left us after repairs had been made. He patiently answered our questions (as dumb as they might be); responded promptly to calls and text messages, paid close attention to detail and provided invaluable advice as we navigated the insurance process. It's as though he has the ability to bring "big name" resources to address your remediation needs with the service and familiarity of a local business. Dealing with a damaged home is stressful enough, dealing with insurance can make it worse... Willard Restoration made it all so much better. Add this company to your contacts, they should be your first call in the event you need help with your home.

Very thorough and helpful through the entire repair and remediation process! Willard Restoration worked alongside us with our insurance to complete repairs. They went above and beyond to make the process easier for us. Highly recommend them for anyone with water damage or remediation needs.

Our process

Our Water Restoration Process

Anderson covers everything from historic homes near downtown and older mill village houses to newer subdivisions and lakefront property along Lake Hartwell, and each brings its own water damage pattern. Newer construction sees supply line and water heater failures, older homes collect water in crawl spaces, and lake houses that sit empty for weeks can take on storm water nobody notices. This is our process for emergency water damage in Anderson:

  1. 01

    Extraction

Truck-mounted and portable extraction units pull standing water out of carpet, hardwood and tile, and out of the lower levels and crawl spaces common in Anderson's lake homes. We confirm where the water came from before we start, because a clean supply line and storm runoff are handled differently.

  2. 02

    Moisture mapping

Thermal imaging and pin and pinless meters trace water under flooring and up into drywall. In Anderson's older homes with plaster walls and original hardwood, the map also tells us what can be dried in place and what has to come out.

  3. 03

    Drying and dehumidification

Anderson summers carry enough humidity that undersized equipment simply cannot pull materials back to dry standard. Air movers and dehumidifiers are sized to the room and the season, not to whatever happens to be on the truck.

  4. 04

    Daily moisture monitoring

A technician returns to take and log readings on framing, subfloor and drywall, moving equipment as each area dries. Lake properties get a closer look at lower levels, where moisture lingers longest.

  5. 05

    Repairs and documentation

Drywall, flooring and trim are repaired once readings confirm the structure is dry, and your adjuster receives photos, moisture logs and an itemized scope. In homes built before 1978, painted surfaces are tested for lead before anything is cut out.

Our process

Our Fire Restoration Process

After a fire in an Anderson home, the visible damage is only part of the job. Smoke follows air pressure into closets, attics and HVAC returns, soot keeps working on finishes for days, and the water used to put the fire out starts its own clock. Our process for fire damage restoration in Anderson:

  1. 01

    Assessment and stabilization

We walk the property with you, trace the fire's path from its point of origin and photograph every affected area for your insurance company. Roof tarping and board-up keep weather and intruders out while the work is planned.

  2. 02

    Suppression water extraction

Water from the fire department's hoses is extracted the same day and drying begins immediately. Left alone, it soaks insulation and subfloor and can lead to mold within days.

  3. 03

    Smoke and soot cleaning

Loose soot is lifted with dry chemical sponges before any liquid touches a surface. Kitchen grease fires, burning furniture and wood smoke each leave a different residue, and each is cleaned with the chemistry that suits it.

  4. 04

    Odor removal

HEPA air scrubbers run throughout the job, and lingering odor in framing and contents is treated with thermal fogging or hydroxyl generation so the smell does not return when the house heats up.

  5. 05

    Rebuild

Damaged drywall, insulation, flooring and framing are replaced and the home is finished out. Older Anderson homes are tested for lead paint before any structural demolition, and one point of contact stays with you to the final walkthrough.

Our process

Our Mold Removal Process

Mold in Anderson homes usually traces back to one of three things: a water event that was never properly dried, a crawl space with a failing vapor barrier, or a slow plumbing leak inside a wall. Lake houses that stay closed up for part of the year are especially prone. Our process for mold removal in Anderson:

  1. 01

    Inspection

We look for the moisture before the mold. Meters and thermal imaging find the leak, condensation or crawl space problem that is feeding the growth, with lower levels and crawl spaces of lake properties part of every inspection.

  2. 02

    Containment

Affected rooms are sealed with polyethylene sheeting and put under negative air pressure with HEPA filtration, so spores stay in the work area while the rest of the house is protected.

  3. 03

    Removal

Moldy drywall, insulation and carpet are cut out, bagged and removed. Framing and subfloor are HEPA vacuumed, cleaned and treated with EPA-registered antimicrobials.

  4. 04

    Verification

Before containment comes down, the area is inspected to confirm the growth is gone and materials are dry. You get a clear answer that the job is complete.

  5. 05

    Keeping it from coming back

We give you a short, specific list for the moisture source. For Anderson lake homes that sit empty, that often includes humidity control while the house is closed up.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you get to a home in Anderson?

We answer 24/7 and dispatch from our shop in Piedmont. Our target is to be on site within 60 minutes for emergencies, and we will give you a realistic arrival time when you call.

Do you work on lake houses on Lake Hartwell?

Yes. Lake homes often have water damage that went unnoticed for days because the house was empty. We extract, dry and document the loss, check lower levels and crawl spaces closely for mold, and can coordinate access with you if you are out of town.

My older Anderson home has a leak. Do you need to test for lead paint?

If the home was built before 1978 and the repair will disturb painted surfaces, yes. Willard's Restoration is EPA-certified for lead-safe work, so testing and containment happen before demolition instead of becoming a delay halfway through the job.

Should I wait for my insurance adjuster before calling you?

No. Most policies expect you to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage. Call us to stop the water and start drying, and we will document everything so the adjuster can see what happened even if they arrive days later.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We document the damage with photos, moisture readings and an itemized scope, and we communicate with your adjuster throughout the claim. You stay in control of your claim, and we make sure the adjuster has what they need.

Do you handle the repairs too, or only the cleanup?

Both. We handle mitigation and the repairs that follow, so you have one team and one point of contact from the first call to the finished job.
