Crawl Spaces
Supply lines under the house are exposed to cold air, and a break there can soak insulation and subfloor for days before anyone notices.
A burst pipe can release hundreds of gallons of water in a few hours. Our 24/7 crews extract the water, find everywhere it traveled, dry the structure and handle the repairs, so a broken pipe does not turn into a mold problem.

Upstate winters are mild most of the time, which is exactly why a hard freeze catches so many homes off guard. Pipes in crawl spaces, exterior walls, attics and unheated garages are the most vulnerable, and lake houses and vacation homes that sit empty are at the highest risk because nobody is there to notice. Pipes also fail without a freeze: old supply lines, corroded fittings and water heater connections cause the same kind of sudden damage year round. Whatever the cause, Willard's Restoration responds 24/7 to stop the damage and restore your property.
Supply lines under the house are exposed to cold air, and a break there can soak insulation and subfloor for days before anyone notices.
Pipes in outside walls and attics freeze first. When they break, water runs down inside the wall cavity and through the ceiling below.
Washing machine hoses, toilet and sink supply lines and water heater connections wear out and can fail suddenly any time of year.
Burst pipe damage spreads in ways you cannot see from the room where the water showed up. Our process:
We confirm the water is shut off and identify the failed pipe so your plumber can make the repair.
Standing water is removed from floors, carpet, cabinets and crawl spaces with commercial extraction equipment.
Thermal imaging and moisture meters show where water traveled inside walls, ceilings and subfloors, which is often far beyond the visible wet spot.
Air movers and dehumidifiers dry the structure, with readings logged on each visit until every material is back to dry standard.
We complete the drywall, flooring and cabinet repairs and provide photos, moisture logs and an itemized scope for your insurance claim.
All burst pipe water damage work follows IICRC S500 standards by IICRC-certified technicians.
We have used Willard's Restoration & Cleaning three times now, twice to test for moisture levels/make sure there was no growth in a couple places and once for water restoration following a major kitchen leak. Anthony did excellent work and helped us navigate the insurance claim following the leak so we had much less stress and worry. He diligently worked in our home until the moisture levels were back to normal which gave us such peace of mind. We couldn't be more satisfied with the work, the value, and the confidence in knowing our home has been well taken care of. We've given his business card to several friends and will continue to recommend Willard's to anyone!

As an insurance agent, I understand the importance of prompt and thorough water remediation. When I had a water loss at my home, I was quick to call Anthony because I trusted him fully to do a great job with my water leak. Anthony was on site quickly and went to work to help get our home back to normal as quickly as possible. Anthony worked directly with my insurance company so that I didn't have to spend my time on that side of things, even though I am the agent. He also worked with my contractor to coordinate the different pieces of the puzzle to get my home put back together as soon as possible. During the process, I became pretty sick and had to spend several days in bed. During that time, it was extremely reassuring to me to know that Anthony could come in and check things without me having to be up and present in the process. I also have a very curious and nosy cat and Anthony was careful to not let him out as he came in and out of my home and to make sure the area was sealed off well so that my cat could not get into the area where the drying fans were running. As an insurance agent, Anthony is who I recommend to my clients, even prior to using him myself, but having my own water loss solidified my decision that they are the only remediation company that I will recommend after having personally dealt with 2 other companies in my home who did not do the quality job that Anthony did for us. Thank you for helping make a bad situation as convenient and painless as possible!

When a pipe break leaves standing water, fast extraction is the most important step. Our water removal service uses commercial equipment to pull water out of floors, carpet and crawl spaces before it wicks further into the structure.

We work directly with your insurance company and document everything your adjuster needs: photos, moisture readings and an itemized scope.
Shut off the water at the main valve, then turn off power to any wet areas if you can do so safely. Move valuables out of the water, take photos and call us. If the break is in a crawl space or wall, water may be spreading where you cannot see it.
It is usually where the water line enters the house, often in the crawl space, a basement, a utility room or near the water heater. Many homes also have a shut-off at the meter near the street. It is worth finding before an emergency.
During hard freezes, let faucets on exterior walls drip, open sink cabinet doors so warm air reaches the pipes, keep the heat on in vacant homes and keep crawl space vents and doors closed. Insulating exposed pipes helps too.
Sudden and accidental water damage from a burst pipe is commonly covered, but damage from long-term leaks or from a home left unheated may not be. Your adjuster makes the final decision. We document the cause and extent of the damage for your claim.
Pipe repairs are done by a licensed plumber. We handle the water damage: extraction, drying and repairs to the structure and finishes, and we are happy to work alongside your plumber.
Most structures dry in three to five days with professional equipment, though dense materials and crawl spaces can take longer. We take readings each visit and finish when the materials are dry, not on a fixed schedule.
